And now for a shameless event plug: Are you an Amateur Radio Operator, or do you know an amateur radio operator? A few of us from Fulton Lodge started an event called Masonic Lodges on the Air a few years back, and this year, on September 27, is our 5th year of running this radio content/event. If you could pass on the website cqmorelight.com and help us build interest, we would appreciate it!
Fraternally

The Fifth District's inspection season concluded with a fine Master Mason degree at Hicksville Lodge. A special thank you again to Brother Matthew Nugent, a member of Bryan Lodge, who was passed to the Fellowcraft Degree at Omega Lodge's inspection and raised to Master Mason at Hicksville Lodge's inspection. Worshipful Master Bleck gratefully thanked the many visiting Brothers who helped with the Fellowcraft team. It was great to see that 20 perfect attendees were on hand for this inspection. We hope to see many of our Brothers at the Award Banquet on Friday, May 16 in Liberty Center.

Worshipful Master Steve Guyer and the Brothers of Liberty Center Lodge #518 exemplified an excellent Entered Apprentice degree Friday night at their Annual Inspection. The Brothers of the Fabulous 5th travelled well with Fulton Lodge #248 taking the Traveling Trophy once again. There is one more Inspection to close out the 2025 Inspection season. Worshipful Master Ryan Bleck and the Brothers of Hicksville Lodge #478 invite all Master Masons to join them on April 11th when they will have their Inspection in the Master Mason degree. See you there!

If first-time Worshipful Master Kelley was nervous, he didn't show it. He and Sycamore Lodge put on a fine Fellowcraft Degree. The sidelines were again full, every 5th District lodge was represented as well as Brothers from the 11th District. Fulton Lodge took the Traveling Trophy with 11 Brothers in attendance. Perfect Attendance stands at 26 Brothers. Next up is Liberty Center # 518 presenting the Entered Apprentice Degree on Friday, March 21 at 7:00 pm.

Napoleon Lodge #256 created a festive setting Friday evening with their traditional jiggs dinner prior to their Annual Inspection. The aroma of the corned beef and cabbage filled the temple adding to the feel of the impending St Patrick's Day holiday. WM Mark French had his Officers in fine form as they exemplified the Entered Apprentice degree. 100 year old World War II Veteran and 5th District Brother Jim Winnie was presented west of the altar by his Sons where RWB Martin Lawrence had the great privilege to give him Grand Honors. Fulton Lodge #474 retained the traveling trophy as they continued to set the bar high for the traveling Brothers.

The snow did not keep Brothers from traveling to Defiance for Sherwood Lodge's inspection. Including Sherwood Lodge Brothers, there were 59 Masons in attendance (second only to Wauseon Lodge's total of 60 Masons). Brother Lumbreezer received a very fine Master Mason Degree. Fulton Lodge ran away with the Traveling Trophy, taking the lead, though not a commanding lead. The next inspection will be for Napoleon Lodge and the EA Degree this friday at 7:00pm.
